The event “Sumalak” in the student dormitory.
Each nationality has its own traditions. These traditions describe the religion, nationality, education, etiquette and humanity of the nation. Therefore, in the process of studying the traditions of any nation, it can be evaluated according to different criteria. Because, as mentioned above, traditions show the origin of each nation. One of these traditions of the Uzbek nation is the preparation of the national dish Sumalak. We all love this spring dish. It consists of many vitamins and minerals necessary for the human body during the awakening period after the winter season. To this end, on March 2, 2019, an event was held in the student hostel of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute in honor of preparing the Sumalak dish. This event was organized on the initiative of the teacher-educator, staff and those responsible for the dormitory, leaders of the Institute’s Union of Youth, deans of faculties and students living in the student dormitory. The event was also attended by the leadership, teachers, staff and students of the institute. Head of the Department of Biotechnology, Associate Professor Ahror Makhmudov had a conversation on the topic “Sumalak and it’s history” with students. At the event “Sumalak” student hostel set the table for students and cooked a favorite dish of the Uzbek people – palov. The event was held in a festive spirit and will be remembered by students for a long time.
