Winners of the Republican contest among the 39 nominations in the Republican contest “The Best Doctor of the Year” organized by the Ministry of Health in connection with the 27th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.The awarding ceremony of the winners of the Republican contest “The best doctor of the year” was held at the Tashkent Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education.The event was opened by Health Minister Alisher Shodmanov.Financing of the sector has also been increased several times. For example, in 2017 the industry was directed 7.1 trillion soums, in 2019 – 12.1 trillion soums. Also, the amount of funds allocated for the construction and repair of medicines, medical supplies and medical facilities has increased threefold. The state has always been in the focus of our state’s efforts to encourage such honest work of medical workers. In recent years, the salaries of the sector’s employees are gradually increasing. The fact that only 95 medical workers have been awarded high state awards and awards on the eve of the 28th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan this year alone is a clear proof of the high recognition of the state and our people. Traditionally the “Best Physician of the Year” competition, initiated by the Ministry of Health, also plays an important role in appreciating the work of medical personnel, providing them with appropriate incentives, and disseminating best practices in the system. The competition was held at a high level and on a larger scale than ever before. This year, for the first time, the winners in 39 nominations were identified.
This year, along with the medical staff, scientists, researchers and representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, who have made a significant contribution to the development of medical science, have participated in the competition. The winners and prize-winners of the contest in various areas of medicine were awarded with the badge “Excellent Health”, diplomas, statuettes, souvenirs and cash prizes.
