History of department

 According to Order No. 361 of the Rector of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute of 29 August 2013 “Improvement of the structure of the Faculty of the Institute,” Strengthening the material and technical base of the faculties of the Institute, combining related disciplines into one department, For the rational use of the buildings of the Institute, the subject of “ecology,” which was taught in the Department of Pharmacognosy and Botany, As well as subjects of “microbiology,” chemical microbiology, “hygiene” and “industrial hygiene” of trainees in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy were separated and based on them the Department of Ecology and Microbiology was organized. Since September 2018, the department has been called the Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines.

Given that the above disciplines had been taught since the beginning of 1947, they were taught in the Department of Microbiology and Hygiene.

Nuralieva Hafiza Otayevna has been appointed Head of the Department of Ecology and Microbiology of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute since 2016. Nuralieva Hafiza Otayevna was born in 1964 and graduated from the Sanitary and Hygienic Faculty of Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1989. Since 1989 she started working at the Department of Social Hygiene of Tashkent State Medical Institute. From 1994 to January 2, 2014 she worked as associate professor, head of the Department of Public Health and General Hygiene of the Urgench Branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy, from January 03, 2014 to September 15, 2014 she worked as a senior researcher at the Research Institute of Sanitation, Hygiene and Occupational Diseases of RUz. Since 2014-2015 academic year he works as associate professor of the Department of Ecology and Microbiology of Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, and since September 2016 heads this department. In 1996 she defended her PhD thesis on “Improvement of medical and hygienic education and prevention of burn injuries among children and adults living in Tashkent” with a specialty “Public health and health organization.” In 2001 she received the academic title associate professor.

To date, it has published more than 116 scientific papers, including 1 textbook, 14 educational and methodological manuals, as well as scientific articles in journals and theses at conferences. At present Nuralieva H.O. works as the Head of the Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines of Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute. She holds practical classes with students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy on the subject of microbiology and hygiene in Uzbek and Russian languages. He also holds lectures to students in a multimedia way, using modern information resources, interactive methods at a high methodological level. On the basis of new sources, it constantly updates the materials of lecture and practical exercises.

Nuralieva H.O. constantly takes an active part in the public life of the faculty and institute.

Achievements of department

Under the leadership of Nuralieva H.O., the Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines received a number of achievements on the introduction of advanced pedagogical and information technologies into the educational process, cooperation with leading scientific institutions of the Republic and countries of far abroad.

Training of qualified pharmacists depends directly on the educational and methodological work carried out at the department. The Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines regularly carries out measures aimed at further improvement of the educational process: the texts of lectures, educational manuals, scientific programs, educational complexes on subjects are constantly updated, new pedagogical and information technologies are used during laboratory and practical classes. The department published the texts of lectures on ecology, microbiology, chemical microbiology, hygiene, industrial hygiene, teaching manuals for laboratory and practical classes. In addition, the Department has organized a microbiological laboratory, which is currently under reformation for further development.

In the development of the Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines and carrying out the educational process, associate professor of the Department Abzalov A.A. made a special contribution:

Under the leadership of Abzalov A.A., 14 of them trained students took part in the competition “International Intellectual Competition of Students, Postgraduate Students and Doctoral Students,” which took place in 2017 in Moscow. Of these, Dodiev A. and Nomozov F. took the corresponding 2nd and 3rd places. Among the doctoral students trained by Abzalov A.A. the 1st place was taken by the assistant of Tashkent State Agrarian University Turakulov A. Participated in this competition from Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, professor Abzalov A.A. took the 1st place in the rating of scientific heads of students. Over the years, he has also been active in social work. In particular, as Chairman of the Educational and Methodological Commission of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnologies and the Council “Teacher-Student” of the Institute. He is currently a member of the International Council of Scientific Journals “Start v nauke” and “International School Science Gazette”

In 2012, at the competition “Best Pharmacist Inventor,” held by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, he was awarded an Honorary Diploma of 3 degrees, for reports at various conferences held by the European Scientific and Industrial Consortium, which unites the Academy of 6 countries, was also awarded gold medals Adam Smith and Quality of Europe. In 2015 Abzalov A.A. on the recommendation of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Natural Science for scientific achievements in the field of invention was awarded the Medal “For valiant work,” for many years and fruitful contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel of the pharmaceutical industry of the Republic. In connection with the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute Abzalov A.A. in 2012 was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the State-Joint Stock Concern “O ‘ZFARMSANOAT.”

Considering active participation of the Russian academy of natural sciences in implementation of projects in the field of education and sciences and also a contribution to development of science, according to the recommendation of presidium of this academy it was awarded with awards of “The European scientific and industrial consortium” (the European scientific and industrial consortium) and also the awards “For Merits Before Science and Prosperity”, “Alexander the Great’s award” and “kerosene stove Inter Pares” (the first among equal). Abzalov A.A. was also awarded the title “Honorary Doctor of Sciences” of the International Academy of Natural Science, the degree professor of the Russian Academy of Natural Science, honorary titles “Honored Worker of Science and Education” and “figure of science and technology.” He won the competition “for innovative work in the field of higher education,” held in Moscow in 2017 and was awarded a gold medal. In addition, Abzalov A. won gold medals by taking part in educational and scientific publications published at the international fairs of 2017-2018 in Moscow and Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In 1990, he also received the honorary title “Honored Worker of National Education of Uzbekistan.”

The staff of the department actively participates in all organizational and educational, spiritual and educational works carried out at the Institute. Thus, on March 27, 2014, in order to implement the state program “Healthy Child” for active participation in the competition “Role of National Values in the Upbringing of a Healthy Child” was awarded the Certificate of Honor. On June 8, 2015, in connection with the “Year of Attention and Care for the Older Generation,” she took an active part in the Spiritual and Educational event “Dorishunos -farmatsevtlarning sodiqvorislarimiz” and was recognized in the nomination “department reflecting the life of young people” and received a computer. On March 22, 2017, the Department of Ecology and Microbiology held an event “World Water Day,” organized in the assembly hall of the Institute. The event was attended by the Head of the Center for Innovative Technologies and Environmental Innovations, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor Yu. Shodimetov, Head of the Department of Water and Energy Problems of Central Asia, Head of the Department of the State Committee for Nature Protection Asilbekova H.T. “water policy and water problems in Uzbekistan,” Honored Worker of National Education of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor Rakhimov T.U., who presented a report on “Problems of desertification in Uzbekistan.” In addition, the women ‘s staff of the department took an active part in sports competitions in sports “volleyball” and “relay” and took the honorary 2nd place, organized in honor of the “national holiday Navruz” on March 21, 2017. In 2017 at the contest “Navruz 2017” took honorary places in the competition modern and national songs and dances of Kashkadarya region, showed scenes reflecting the national cuisine and traditions of the region.

In this direction there is a great practical contribution of the head of the institute and vice-rector on spiritual and educational work. An example of this is the achievements and success achieved at international and republican competitions.

Information about the educational and methodological activities of the department

Students of 1, 2 and 3 courses of the Faculty of Pharmacy in the fields of pharmacy and vocational education and industrial pharmacy are studying at the department, conducting practical and laboratory classes, lectures on ecology, microbiology, chemical microbiology, hygiene, physiology, pathology, valeology, physical culture, physiology and plant biochemistry.

In 2015 the book “Viral Diseases” in 40 copies, in 2014 “Microbiology” in 30 copies, in 2016 “The atlas of microbiology, virology and immunology” in 30 copies, in 2016 “An educational and methodical handbook to a practical training on chemical microbiology for students 3 courses as an industrial pharmacy, a biotechnology of pharmaceutical institute” in 15 copies were published. A manual on industrial hygiene was published in 2014 for 2-year students of the Faculty of Industrial Pharmacy in 25 copies. “Industrial Hygiene Training Manual” in 20 copies, “Training and Method manual for industrial hygiene practice” in 2015 in 30 copies, “Training and methodological manual on industrial hygiene for students Faculty of Industry and Pharmacy of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute in 20 copies. In 2015, a 30-copy “interactive compilation of games on hygiene and industrial hygiene” was published for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy.  In 2014, a training manual “educational-methodical manual on ecology” (for bachelors in all areas) was published in the amount of 25 copies. The department prepared electronic textbooks for all taught disciplines, prepared the library complex of the department for the organization of pharmaceutical work and posted on the Internet “Ziyo-NET”.

Details of the research papers carried out at the department

The Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines conducts a wide range of research papers.  Since 2013, the department has published more than 115 scientific papers, including 3 monographs (2 published in Germany), 6 patents, 2 author’s certificates, 4 textbooks and 9 educational materials.  textbooks and 35 recommendations for growing medicinal plants.  The recommendations are used to grow medicinal plants on specialized farms at the Shifobakhsh Research and Production Centre.  In addition, more than 80 articles and theses have been published, including about 30 articles in foreign and domestic magazines.

The research work of the department is mainly devoted to the technology of growing medicinal plants, the department of ecology, the department of microbiology study the microbiological activity of medicinal plants, the subject of hygiene studies the influence of adverse production factors, food hygiene, and hygiene of children and adolescents. Detailed information on spiritual education

Spiritual and educational work at the department is carried out according to the plan of the Institute. In March 2018, the Department of Spiritual and Educational Work is carried out. 4 teachers work at the department. For example, Dusmuratova F.M. carries out spiritual and educational work at the Faculty of Industrial Pharmacy among students 1-course of the Faculty of Industrial Pharmacy, Madaminov M.A. is a curator in groups of the Faculty of Industrial Pharmacy. The department is located on the 3 floor spiritual and educational events are regularly held with students living in dormitories. Also on the land plot attached to the department for many years works on improvement and greening were carried out.

In the month of September:

In September 2017, the first lesson of the “Independence Lesson” was held by the faculty of the department, which was attended by the faculty of the department. In this regard, the name of the round table is called a “lesson of memory” in order to perpetuate the memory of the great leader, his merits to the people. After the conversation, the staff of the department held a conversation among students living in rooms on the third floor of the “Spiritual Education Room” about the adaptation of freshmen to the existing living conditions of the institute and the effective organization of the adaptation process.  According to the department’s plan, the following spiritual and educational work was carried out on the campus on September 19, 2017, where Associate Professor Faizullayeva S.R. conducted an explanatory work with students living in the dormitory on the topic: “Ethics in higher education institutions” recommended by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.

In accordance with the plan, The assistant of the department Juraev M.P. held a roundtable with students on the theme: “Patriotism begins with the study of history,” which began with information about the diverse history of our Homeland.  Head of the department, Associate Professor Nuraliyeva H.O. informed the students about the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on April 20, 2017 N PP-2909 “On measures for the further development of higher education,” explained the essence, and gave information on the decree On July 27, 2017, PP-3151 “On measures to further expand the participation of sectors and sectors of the economy in improving the quality of higher education.”

In October, a number of activities were held in accordance with the department’s spiritual and educational plan.  In particular, in academic groups, teachers conducted extensive outreach among students and “the goals and objectives of the strategy of action.”  In addition, the teachers of the department held a roundtable on “We value teachers” dedicated to October 1 – “Teacher’s Day.”  In addition, the department’s teachers held a roundtable with students to meet the tasks outlined in the “Program of Additional Measures for the Implementation of State Youth Policy.”

On October 24, the staff of the department held another meeting, where the senior lecturer of the department Dusmuratova F. held a round table with students on a new interpretation of national costumes in the section “Clothes of Culture.” The following week, Kadyrov’s senior lecturer D.E. exchanged her ideas and thoughts with students about the work of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” High Spirituality – Invincible Power.

In November:

In November, K.S. Boltayeva, a senior lecturer in the department, together with the students of the 3rd year of the Faculty of Pharmacy, held a roundtable on “Patoriotism begins with knowledge of history.”

Assistant of the Department of Madaminov M.A. held a roundtable with students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the direction of vocational education on the topic: “What moral qualities should a student possess.”  The roundtable held by the teachers of the department aroused a lot of interest among students, and the teachers answered all the questions they were interested in.В ноябре кафедра провела ряд работ со студентами, проживающих в общежитии на 3 этаже, согласно плана духовно-просветительской работы кафедры.

On 23 October, the day of the President of Uzbekistan’s entry into UNESCO, an event entitled “The concept of human dignity and wealth” was held on UNESCO’ international Day of the United Nations.  In the second week, an explanatory work on the “Development Strategy – Guarantee of a Prosperous Future” carried out under the State Programme “Implementation of the Strategy of Action on the Five Priority Areas of Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan 2017-2021” on dialogue with people’s and human interests.  In the third week, on the theme “Happy Children of the Great Land” dedicated to the day of November 10 – World Youth Day, a campaign was held to raise awareness of youth, the role of the newly formed Youth Union of Uzbekistan and the expected results our youth. In the fourth week there was an educational event dedicated to the history of the development of national pedagogy “Education is a matter of life and death.”

The entire faculty of the department held roundtables with students on the theme ” Study of the Constitution and Laws” dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan on December 8. In addition, all students of the groups discussed the winter holidays, highlighted the rules of safety of vehicles. In accordance with the spiritual education plan, the Department aims to provide young people with information on HIV prevention, drug awareness, HIV and other infectious diseases and healthy lifestyles aimed at ensuring The department held roundtables on the following topics: “Healthy Lifestyle” and “HIV Prevention.”
