The Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute “Industrial Pharmacy” is a fruit of Independence. Because Independence has created a need for new directions in the field for the dynamic development of the pharmaceutical industry. In fact, in the first years of independence, taking into account the importance of medicinal herbs in folk medicine and pharmaceutical industry, in 1992, the Agrobiotechnology specialization of the Pharmacy Faculty of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute was established on September 1, 1994 as a separate faculty of Agrobiotechnology. The faculty trains highly qualified specialists in biotechnology and agronomy. Later, the adoption of the National Training Program in our country required the radical transformation and improvement of the education system, including the training of pharmaceutical staff. This, in its turn, laid the foundations for the organization of a number of new educational directions and magistracy specialties at the institute. In particular, since the 2003-2004 academic year, the introduction of the “Industrial Pharmacy” in the “Higher Education Directions and Qualifications Classifier”, as well as the introduction of staff training for drug manufacturing enterprises, September 17 was renamed to the faculty of “Agrobiotechnology” by the order of the institute № 100 “Industrial Pharmacy”.

Since April 2015, candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor H. Sh.Ilhamav leads. As deputy dean of the faculty A.Rajabov and Z.Mamatkulovs are operating effectively.

As part of the Faculty of industrial pharmacy, training is carried out in the fields of “Industrial Pharmacy”, “Biotechnology” and New “Metrology, standardization and product quality management” since 2015-2016 academic year. It is established that graduates of these areas of Education operate in enterprises that produce medicines. The training of qualified, competitive personnel capable of solving socio-economic, scientific and technical problems at a high level is a priority task facing the Faculty of Industrial Pharmacy in the Republic.

In a number of resolutions, laws and orders, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Armenia have been in the years to come. In the concessionaire, the national economy and the provision of the health sector with local 50% of medicines, for this purpose, in the cultivation of medicinal plants

Students of industrial pharmacy and biotechnology faculty receive technology, engineer-technologist qualification in the specialty of pharmaceutical preparations and pharmaceutical preparations. Graduates of the direction of metrology, standardization and product quality management control the metrology and standardization of devices in the pharmaceutical enterprises and respond to the quality of the medicines.

Currently 903 students are trained at the Faculty. In 2-3 courses, students take courses in engineering subjects such as Engineering Engineering and Applied Mechanics, Materials Engineering, Mechanics and Mechanics, and Mechanical Engineering, General Chemical Technology, Basic Processes and Equipment for Chemical Technology, Subjects such as production design, equipment, industrial economics, molecular biotechnology, biofuel substances technology, standardization of drugs and quality management are taught. It should be noted that from the year 2018-2019 on the basis of the faculty was established the new specialty “Standardization and quality management of drugs”. Upon completion of the course, students will become technologists, technicians, technicians for the pharmaceutical industry, the process of manufacturing pharmaceuticals, standardizing technological processes and controlling the quality of products. In addition, graduates can work in educational institutions and research institutes. At the same time, bachelors prepared on these specialties can continue their education in the technology of immunobiological and microbiological drugs and industrial technology of medicines.

From the 2018-2019 academic year 8 departments were established in the Faculty of Industrial Pharmacy. They are as follows:

There are over 10 doctors and professors, more than 60 PhDs and Associate Professors, more than 80 Senior Lecturers and Assistants. Professors of the faculties of the faculty are prof. VR Khaydarov, F.Jalilov took the honorary places at the republican pedagogical competitions of higher educational institutions during the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic years.

The leadership of the institute carries out considerable work on modernization of educational process and methodical maintenance of the faculty. In particular, all lecture rooms at the faculty are equipped with stationary projectors, which, in turn, provide lectures with the use of information technology (presentation, virtual laboratory, animation, etc.). The faculty has good educational work, not only lectures, but also practical exercises with the use of modern information and pedagogical technologies – video equipment, computers and various visual aids. In recent years, physics and biotechnology laboratories of the faculty have been equipped with new equipment.

The educational-methodical complexes on the curriculum of all educational faculties of the faculty are created and placed in the information-resource center of the institute. All subjects are provided with textbooks and manuals, these textbooks and manuals are enriched with the new generation of textbooks, which are developed on the basis of leading foreign literature.

The faculty is specialized in the field of industrial pharmacy, biotechnology directions, innovational and institutional cooperation programs with leading higher educational institutions, leading research institutes, enterprises producing drugs, taking into account the integration of education, science and production conduct training sessions and internships, and conduct academic research with academic studies.

Besides, the departments of specialization are cooperating with the foreign higher educational institutions. An example of this is the docent of “Biotechnology” F.Tuhtaev who has been trained for a six-month term at the University of Changwon National University of Korea in 2016, MGIsmailova and FXTo’htayev have been trained in China in June-August 2018, , Successfully graduated from the Master’s degree in Industrial Technology of Medicines, and worked as the employee of the Department of Industrial Technology of Medicines, M.Shamsudinova, for two years, in collaboration with the above mentioned university.

In addition, the students are guided by the leading professors and teachers. They teach students to independently pursue scientific research, work with scientific literature, and use modern information. The gifted students have the opportunity to participate in scientific conferences and have the opportunity to publish their research works in the “Journal of Pharmaceutical Journalism” and continue their studies in magistracy. It is noteworthy that several students graduating from the Faculty of Industrial Pharmacy continued their studies at magistracy of foreign universities. For example, R.Movlyanova, I.Shukurov, A.Abdunasimov, S.Kakhhorov from the talented students graduating from the previous years of the faculty entered the magistracy of China, Japan, Germany and Korea, and continued their scientific studies. they are.

In order to increase the level of students’ knowledge, the departments of the faculty have not only acquired acquaintances and educational practices, but also a number of academic processes such as Dentafill, Remedy group, Remedy, Nika Farm, Ziyonurfarm JV, Microbiology institute, Botanical Garden, Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics under the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Uzstandard Metrology and Certification Department, and other industrial enterprises and scientific research institutes.

In short, in accordance with the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute and the Faculty of Industrial Pharmacy are successfully implementing a targeted training policy.
