History of the department
By order of the rector of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute prof. II Alimdzhanova dated July 21, 2018 number 553 department was established department “Pharmacognosy and standardization of drugs.”
Information about the head of the department and his achievements
Olimov Nemat Kayumovich was born in 1960, Uzbek. He graduated from the chemistry department of the National University of Uzbekistan in 1983. Under the guidance of Professor S.N. Aminov and assistant professor Kh.R.Tukhtaev in 1990, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Chemical Sciences on the topic “Synthesis and colloidal chemical properties of acon, citraconium and maleic acid. In 1992 he received the title of associate professor. Since then, he has worked at the department as an assistant professor. In 1993, he worked as a dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and from 1995 to 1999 he worked as a dean of this department and vice-rector of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute in 1999–2009 and vice-rector for academic affairs in 2007–2009 . In 2011 he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic: “The creation and standardization of technology of medicines based on garlic” under the guidance of S.N. Aminova, Professor of the Department of Inorganic, Analytical, Physical and Colloidal Chemistry of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute.
Under his leadership, two PhD dissertations were successfully defended: 2009 – AS Normuratov, 2010 – Rakhimov G.R. and one PhD dissertation in pharmaceutical sciences in 2018 – Sidametova Z.E. At present, the research associate of the basic doctoral program A.A. Mukhitdinov completes his study on the topic “Standardization of anti-inflammatory drugs from plant materials.”
He conducted research on the following grants: P-15-26, I-33, I-2011-9-3, I-SS-2014-8, I6-SS-0-21347.
Department Achievements
At the present time, the doctor of pharmaceutical sciences, professor N.K.Olimov, the doctor of pharmaceutical sciences, professor M.A. Tadzhiev, the doctor of medical sciences, associate professor Z.Salikhodzhayev, the doctor of medical sciences, associate professor S.A. Saidov . Candidates of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professors G.M.Ismoilova, N.A.Abdurahmonova, Ph.D., B.S.Rakhimov, PhD Z.E.Sidametova, Assistant R.K.Sadikova work at the department.
On the basis of the approved programs, the department conducts lectures and practical classes in pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical chemistry, microbiology and toxicological chemistry.
In order to implement the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 319 dated December 18, 2009 “On the system of advanced training and retraining of medical personnel”, the level and knowledge of the system of professional training and retraining of pharmacists developed “State Requirements”
Currently, the department conducts advanced training of pharmacists with higher education in the following areas:
- “Economics of pharmacies and current problems of pharmacy”;
- “Current issues of pharmaceutical practice”;
- “Technology of medicinal forms”;
- “Quality control of medicines”;
- “Technology of preparation of sterile drugs”;
- “Actual problems of using medicinal plants in pharmaceutical practice”;
- “Specialization of forensic chemical experts”;
- “Improving the qualifications of teachers in the pharmaceutical divisions of medical colleges”;

There are 10 professors and teachers in our department. 2 of them are doctors of science and 5 of them are doctors of philosophy (PhD).
2. In 2019, the department mainly focused on educational, methodical, educational and scientific fields. Significant financial resources were invested for the Institute’s economy through the training of trainees. Educational and methodical complexes for the 2019-2020 academic year for all subjects were prepared. In the 14 existing groups of educational work, group mentors were assigned and group journals were administered. 1 PhD was prepared in the direction of scientific field (Muhiddinov Abror Abdurazzakovich – supervisor DSc., professor N.K.Olimov). In addition, the department conducts scientific research for getting DSc degree (1.Sidametova Zaynab Enverovna. Scientific adviser – DSc., professor N.K.Olimov Doctor of Philosophy, Professor N.K. Olimov. 2. Mirrahimova Tanzila Akhrorovna. Scientific adviser – DSc., professor N.K.Olimov).
3. Currently, in the department have been 3-years practical grant PZ-2017091368 “Development and standardization of technology of sedative ” Flegmen “syrup on the basis of the collection of local medicinal plants (217.1 million so’ms for 2019 years).
4. Patent for the invention from the State Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan on “Method of obtaining herbal remedies for the treatment of exinococcosis” (authors: Aminov S.N., Olimov N.K., Muhitdinov A.A., Teshaev O.R., Alimov S.U. – 07.03.2019).
5. In 2019 published 10 scientific articles, including 3 abroad countries (USA, India and Bulgaria) and more than 20 thesis.
6. One of the articles published abroad was awarded by the Institute award.
Practical classes in pharmacognosy are regularly held in the Botanical Garden.
On May 28, 2018 and June 12, the department conducted integrated classes in pharmacognosy on the topic “Ibn Sina and medicinal plants used in traditional medicine” by Associate Professor N.A. Abdurakhmanova. jointly by the pharmaceutical company “Dr.Mardon” with the participation of representatives of G.Rasulova and T.Ahmedova.
On the basis of the agreement concluded between the Director of LLC “Scientific center for standardization of medicines” Abduganiev Sh.H. laboratory classes in pharmaceutical chemistry with students held Ismailova G.M. in the scientific center for standardization of medicines.
MEETING WITH DELEGATION OF THE KOREAN INVENTIVE WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION
In 2019, abdurakhmonova Nargiza Abdumajidovna, associate professor of Pharmacognosy and drug standardization, took part in a meeting with the delegation of the Korean inventive women’s Association at Turin Polytechnic University. A presentation was presented by Yun Mung Xi, president of the Korean inventive women’s Association. Within the framework of the meeting, a Memorandum was signed between the Association of inventive women of Uzbekistan and the Korean inventive women’s Association. Also, the exhibition “inventive women-2019” dedicated to the meeting was organized.

In 1972, in the specialty of pharmacology 14. 00.25 , he defended his thesis on the theme “On the pharmacology of complex compounds of cobalt”. In 1989, 1 in the specialty of pharmacology 14. 00.25 he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic “The influence of the coordination compounds of some biometals on the course of experimental atherosclerosis”. In 1974 he was received the title of senior researcher. He was an author of more than 100 scientific articles and abstracts, as well as 10 copyright certificates. He published the following books: “Dori vositalari qo’llanmasi” includes three books(2015) “Salomatlik bebaho Ne’mat” (2016), “Tibbiet Encyclopediai” (2016), “Shifobahsh taomlar Siri” (2017). |

| Nationality is Uzbek, graduater of the ToshPharmi, defended her in the specialty 02.00.01 “Inorganic chemistry” according to the “Diploma”, graduated from the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute. She is the author of more than 70 scientific articles in his research on the results of he research on vascular dilation. Development and standardization of technology for obtaining new drugs with hepatoprotective and herbicidal action based on raw materials from Jerusalem artichoke (Synara scolymus L.), grown in Uzbekistan, developed by Tashkent City Pharmacy Institute for 2015-2017. Ismoilova G. was a leading researcher of the state grant. In 2017, she completed a refresher course at the Center for retraining and advanced training of teachers at TTA. Scientific and teaching experience is 40 years. | |

Saidov Saidamir Aborovich – MD, associate professor. In 1998 he graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute. She has been doing research since 1998. In 2001 he defended his Candidate’s Dissertation on the subject “Individual metabolic properties of rats in conditions of stabilization of hypoxia in the post-stress period” (TMA). The issue of the doctoral thesis “Metabolic syndrome: modeling, pathogenesis, treatment (experimental study)” was defended in 2007 by TMA. He has been working at the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute since 2009. Under the scientific supervisor of S.A. Saidov, he conducted targeted research on the implementation of innovative methods in pharmacological studies of coordination compounds. In particular, the department has a medical biological laboratory, equipped with a modern analyzer. In addition to scientific work in the laboratory, conducted scientific and practical classes. This is aimed at developing the innovation phase of the pharmaceutical education process. S.A.Saidov is the head of the thesis on the following topics: 1. “Experimentally related to the metabolic properties of the individual organism.( dissertator: A.Q. Axmadjonov) 2. “Experimental osteoporosis calcium-organic pharmacotherapeutic compounds depend on individual characteristics” (dissertator: A.A.Mavlonov). S.A. Saidov is a member of the International Association of Pharmacologists and Clinical Pharmacists, a member of the Committee on Bioethics of the Ministry of Health, a member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Agency for Innovations, a member of the Council of Pharmacology of the Ministry of Health, associate professor, member of a scientific seminar of the Tashkent Medical Academy, a specialized council in Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, academic council. He speaks English and Russian. |
