The foundation of this department was 1945. At that time the department was called “Technology of ready-made dosage forms” and was founded under this name, in 2011 the initiative of the rector of the institute, in order to bring scientific and educational activities closer to industry was proposed a new name “Drugs Industrial technology “.
In those years, the Institute was headed by Prof. M.A. Azizov. He, as well as doctors of pharmaceutical sciences, professors I.A. Gengrinovich and SM. Makhkamov, showing great devotion, made a great contribution to the foundation of the department.
For the first time, Professor A.I. Gengrinovich headed the department as head (1972-1978), in 1978-1993, Professor S.M. Makhkamov, 1993-1996 Associate Professor A.I. Nuritdinova, in 1996-2001, Professor M.M. Mirolimov, in 2001-2008, Professor M.U. Usubbayev, in 2008-2010, Professor H.K. Jalilov. Since 2010 until now the department is headed by Professor V.R. Khaidarov. Nowadays , the department is engaged in activities, 3 doctors of sciences, professors, 8 associate professors, 13 assistant managers of laboratories, senior and junior laboratory assistants.
Nuritdinova A.I (1993-1996 y) Usubbaеv M.U (1996-2008 y) Djalilov X.K (2008-2010 y) Xaydarov V.R (2010 y a.t.m)
With the purpose of raising the level and development of educational and scientific activity in 1974, Professor S.M. Makhkamov published a manual on the “Basics of the production of tablets” (in 2010, the manual was reissued), a manual “Text of lectures on tablets” was published by professors S.M. Makhkamov and RI Dilbarkhonova in 1986
Also worth noting the huge contribution to the development of educational and methodological activities of Professor S.M. Makhkamov, the senior teacher F.S. Muratova and I.G. Redko. For increasing the effectiveness of educational and practical processes, the teachers of the department created more than 30 teaching aids, with the help of which it was possible to conduct small classroom sessions in full. It is also important that during practical lessons teachers use tools and equipment such as percolators, percolator batteries, fiber shredder, ultrasonic devices, a determinant of alcohol concentration in extracts (working on the principle of evaporation and distillation), besides determining the technological properties of the tablet mass (fractional composition, flowability, relative density, compressibility, residual moisture, compaction factor, etc.) and the quality of tablets (hardness at break, hardness to abrasion, disintegration, dissolution, etc.). These and other instruments and apparatus have been proposed by professors S.M. Makhkamov and M.U. Usubbayev and under their leadership the staff of the department were put into operation with the possibility of application in scientific and practical activities.
Also worth noting is that S.M. Makhkamov, M.U. Usubbayev and A.I. Nuritdinova published an educational and methodical manual for laboratory classes on the subject “Technology of ready-made dosage forms” in 1989 in Russian and in 1991 in Uzbek, in 1994 a textbook on this subject was created. In 2010, these textbooks and textbooks were reissued under the co-authorship of the professors S.M. Makhkamov and K.S. Makhmudzhanova.

Jalilov, V.R. Khaidarov, M.M. Kadyrov and A.S. Temirov. They won the contest. In September 2014 both benefits were printed in 400 copies with a total amount of 11 million 200 thousand UZS at the expense of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.
The textbook on the subject “Evaluation of the quality of finished medicines, packaging and packaging” was published by the teachers of the department H.K. Jalilov, M.M. Kadyrov, A.S. Temirov.
