A bike marathon dedicated to the International Day of cyclists was held in Tashkent
On the occasion of the International Day of cycling in the capital was held cycling marathon. The bicycle march, which began in the sports complex Humo arena, was held 5 kilometers from Tashkent Beshogoh, Furkat, Islam Karimov, Sharof Rashidov and Afrosiyob streets. The main objective of this event is primarily to popularize this sport among the population, to promote meaningful holding of city holidays and to involve them in physical activity. More than 300 lovers took part in this cycling marathon. The Chairperson of the Cycling Federation of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Norboeva, spoke about the development of this sport in our country before the start of the cycling marathon. “Today is a holiday for our sport. We all gathered to celebrate the International Day of cyclists in Uzbekistan. Interest in this sport in our country is growing. In April of this year in Tashkent, the Asian Championship in cycling on bicycles was held. Members of the team who took part in this tournament won many medals. I wish you all good luck to the participants of the marathon, ”said Tanzila Norboeva. At the end of the competition, all participants were awarded certificates for their contribution to the promotion of cycling and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. The event was attended by the chairman of the Women’s Committee of the Institute of Pharmacy Barno Baltaeva, members of the committee and students.
